Police Blotter: June 20 to June 28

Two high profile robberies.

Burglary:

  • On Wednesday June 22 between 7 and 8 p.m., property was taken without forced entry in the 3200 block of Whispering Pines Drive. 
  • In the spce of a week - between June 18 and June 25, property was taken from the 14100 block of Weeping Willow Drive.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at 1111 University Boulevard overnight between June 20 and June 22. Property was taken through forced entry.  

Robbery:

  • An  occurred at the Shell Station located at 4001 Aspen Hill Road on June 25 at 6:00 a.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon, obtained property and was arrested.

    Arrested: Male, age 22, from Wheaton.

  • A  at the M&T Bank located at 12041 Georgia Avenue on June 27 at 9:50 a.m.  The suspect implied a weapon and obtained cash.

      Arrested: Male, aged 29, from DC. 

Assault:

  • A victim was assault by a suspect with a weapon in the 4100 block of Heathfield Road on June 25 in the morning hours. 

Theft from Vehicle:

  • The theft occurred overnight between June 22 and June 23 in the parking lot of Firestone (11511 Veirs Mill Road). A vehicle part was taken.
