Q & A with Wheaton High School Principal Kevin Lowndes

Principal Lowndes is the third in a four-part series profiling Wheaton-area High School principals.

As another school year is upon us, Patch sat down with four Wheaton-area High School principals to find out what they did on their summer vacation and their outlook on the 2011-2012 school year.


Patch: What was the most fun thing you did on your summer vacation?

Principal Kevin Lowndes: Cliff jumping and zip lining at a gorge in Connecticut with my family.

K.L:  An increase in class sizes.

Patch: What single event are you most looking forward to during the 2011-2012 school year?

K.L: I always love the first week of school when everyone is excited to be back.

Patch: Please share one new thing about your school for this year – a new hire, new program or new piece of equipment.

K.L: Wheaton is starting an Engineering and Bioscience Magnet program this year.
