This
is Smith’s fourth All-Star Basketball Game. “It’s my favorite Foundation
Event,” says Smith. “We’ve been getting bigger and better. We used to hold it
in my hometown, but there wasn’t enough space this year. We’re trying to get 5,000
people out here.”

To
take the event to the next level, Smith suggested it be held at his alma mater,
the University of Maryland.  “I think
it’s really cool to be back here,” he says. “It’s all about giving back to the
people that got you where you are.”

While
Smith is a veteran to the event, Kerrigan is a fresh face.  “I just started the Blitz for the Better Foundation
last year,” Kerrigan says. “I think this event will be a lot of fun. Torrey has
a jump start on me since he has been doing this for years. I’m hoping our
Redskins fans are there to support, sporting burgundy and gold. Hail to the
Redskins!”
