Tax Free Week in Maryland This Week

Just in time for back-to-school shopping, this week parents and others will get a slight discount: Maryland's usual six percent sales tax will be going away, at least until Saturday, on selected types of items.

Expect to shop tax-free on clothing (up to $100) and shoes (also up to a $100). Unfortunately, school items like pencils, pens and binders will not have the discount.
