The Wheaton Five: June 10

1. There's not much relief in the forecast, with highs reaching into the low 90s today. But there's scattered thunderstorms likely in the afternoon.

2. Here's an item we missed yesterday in our : Southern Montgomery County Orchestra will be performing free summer concerts in downtown Silver Spring outside the Civic Center, featuring works by Schubert, Gounod and Mozart.

3. If the thunderstorms pass, check out the first week of Wheaton's summer concert series with Chopteeth Afrofunk Big Band tonight at 7 p.m.

4. Later today on Wheaton Patch, we have a look into open houses, the weekly police blotter and video of the county's finest....pooches.
