Experience the longest structure on the C & O Canal while looking
for amazing wildflowers. It’s a feat of engineering and is surrounded by
beauty. We will hike the towpath and then up and over on the Tunnel Hill Trail,
all in search of spring wildflowers in bloom. On our return trip we will
venture through the tunnel with our flashlights looking for adventure. Please
bring a lunch and a water bottle with you. Portions of the hike will be
strenuous. Meet at the Black Hill Visitors Center. Children must be accompanied
