Father, Daughter Die In Hanson Motorcycle Crash
The motorcycle operator died at Brockton Hospital, while his 19-year-old daughter was ruled dead at the scene.
HANSON, MA — A father and daughter died in a motorcycle crash in Hanson Friday night, according to police.
The crash happened around 9:35 p.m., on Route 58 near Hill Road. Police said a man riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle left the road and struck a utility pole. The crash victims were identified as James Ripley, 58, and Jenna Ripley, 19.
James Ripley was taken to Brockton Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His daughter, a passenger on the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Monponsett Street was closed for about 4 hours.
Massachusetts State Police and the Plymouth County District Attorney's office are helping Hanson police investigate the cause of the crash.
