6 Lucky New Englanders Score Winning "Jaws" Lottery Ticket
The winners of the $1 Million Martha's Vineyard Jaws Event Trip will each receive a four-day trip to the movie's filming location.

MASSACHUSETTS — In celebration of one of the most famous movies ever filmed in Massachusetts, the state lottery launched limited-edition "Jaws" themed scratch-off tickets earlier this year — and the first round of big winners have been announced.
The lucky six winners of the $1 Million Martha's Vineyard Jaws Event Trip — five people from Massachusetts, and one from Rhode Island — will each receive a four-day, three-night trip to Martha's Vineyard Harbor View, where "Jaws" was filmed, with one guest during the summer of 2025.
The $1 Million Martha's Vineyard Jaws Event Trip winners are Patricio Brandao from Lawrence, Adam Gerhart from Holden, Michelle Hall from Methuen, Bianca Huntley from Gardner, Jean Keough from Fall River, and Dona Mae Ferguson from Little Compton, Rhode Island.

The prize also includes the following, according to the lottery:
- Black Car to Port Ferry to the Island Transportation
- Daily Breakfast, Welcome Toast/Dinner with Entertainment at Harbor View, Taste of the Vineyard Dinner at Harbor View Lawn
- JAWS Island Tour on custom guided bus across the Island
- Private JAWS movie screening at Harbor View
- Shark Infested Waters Harbor View Lawn, Chum Beer Buckets, Shark Floaty and Shark Bite koozies
- One thousand dollars ($1,000) of spending money, for the Trip Prize winner, to be provided by Mass Lottery upon validation of the player's completed claim form.
What about the "$1 Million Event" referenced in the contest's title? The six winners are each given admission to an event held at a venue where they will play for a cash prize ranging from $500 to $1,000,000, the lottery said.

There will be six trip winners in each of five drawings, for a total of 30 winners who of the trip.
Edgartown, which sits on the island of Martha's Vineyard, is the real-life town that's known as Amity in the film. The buildings seen in the film are still standing today, thanks to Martha's Vineyard's dedication to preservation, according to the island's website. In fact, the South Water Street location of Rockland Trust, which used to be Edgartown National Bank, features an actual prop from the movie.
After "Jaws" was released in 1975, tourism on Martha’s Vineyard skyrocketed and it’s been known as the "Jaws Island" ever since, island officials said.
