MASSACHUSETTS — If you’re looking for a brunch spot to take Mom for Mother’s Day, six Massachusetts eateries are on the list of 2025’s Top 100 Brunch Restaurants by the online reservation service OpenTable.

Each year, OpenTable looks at diner reviews and demand metrics to develop its list of the best brunch restaurants for Mother’s Day. Restaurants in Massachusetts are:

  • Bar Vlaha: This Brookline eatery offers "a warm atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional Greek home" and highlights the culinary heritage of the nomadic Vlach people.
  • Brassica Kitchen: This neighborhood joint in Boston offers "exciting breakfast plates" along with sandwiches, espresso drinks, a crushable cocktail list, and more at brunch.
  • Comfort Kitchen: An intimate 30-seat restaurant in Boston, Comfort Kitchen offers brunch that's a "celebration of the ingredients and flavors of the diaspora connected from Asia to the Americas — global comfort food."

  • Prima: This Italian restaurant located in Charlestown includes a beautifully restored grand bar and dining room that overlooks City Square Park and the Boston skyline.
  • Silver Dove Afternoon Tea: A full-service tea room in Downtown Boston that's just steps from Government Center and the Freedom Trail. The set menu includes a variety of finger sandwiches, savory canapés, cakes, scones, macarons and other pastries which rotate seasonally.

Other states represented on the list are Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and the District of Columbia.

The list is based on more than 10.5 million reviews from diners who booked their reservations on OpenTable from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2004. Minimum thresholds were set for the number of reviews a restaurant had to have to be considered for a review, and the percentage of five-star reviews, the percentage of reservations made in advance, and the percentage of direct searches were among the unique data points considered in the development of the list. Brunch reviews and Sunday lunch availability were also considered.
