6 MA Hotels Land On List Of Region's Best

The publication released its annual Top 20 Hotels in the Northeast on Tuesday.

Six Massachusetts hotels have been named among the best in the Northeast in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.

The publication released its annual Top 20 Hotels in the Northeast on Tuesday. Massachusetts properties on Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod and in the Berkshires made the rankings.

No. 3: The Nantucket Hotel & Resort, Nantucket

Located in the historic Brant Point neighborhood, The Nantucket Hotel & Resort dates to 1891 and is Nantucket’s only year-round hotel. The property offers rooms, suites and cottages, two heated pools, a fitness center, sauna and hot tub.

No. 9: Prospect Berkshires, Egremont

Prospect Berkshires is a lakeside retreat featuring 49 cabins made from wood, stone and glass. The property includes tennis courts, a lakeside sauna, seasonal pool and the Cliff House restaurant.

No. 11: Harbor View Hotel, Martha’s Vineyard

Located in Edgartown, Harbor View Hotel offers rooms, suites and cottages overlooking the water. Amenities include a heated saltwater pool, fitness center, bicycles and golf cart shuttles to town and the beach.

No. 15: Chatham Inn Relais & Châteaux, Chatham

The Chatham Inn is an 18-room boutique hotel that has welcomed guests since the 1800s. The Cape Cod property features rooms with private balconies and garden terraces, with some accommodations offering fireplaces.

No. 16: White Elephant Nantucket, Nantucket

White Elephant Nantucket sits along Nantucket Harbor and has been an island landmark since the 1920s. The waterfront hotel combines its historic New England setting with modern accommodations and dining.

No. 18: Summercamp, Oak Bluffs

Summercamp is a 95-room Martha’s Vineyard hotel overlooking Oak Bluffs Harbor. Open as a hotel since 1879, the property was renovated with a retro summer-camp theme and includes harbor-view porches, a game room and Camp Canteen.

The rankings were determined through Condé Nast Traveler’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey, with hotels rated on factors including rooms, location, service, food, facilities and design.
