The Massachusetts Department of Public Health said influenza-like activity in the state was at a moderate level and the current estimated severity of flu was low, according to the most recent data available.

Hospitalizations associated with influenza in the last week of February were at 1.13% of total hospitalizations, down 0.2% from the prior week, and influenza like illness visits were at 2.94%, down 0.57% from the week before but still above the baseline of 2.2%
