$15M-Winning Lottery Ticket Sold At Central MA Store

The winner plans to take a vacation and make some home improvements.

STERLING, MA — A $15 million-winning lottery ticket was sold at a store in Sterling.

Lanphers Market, located at 240 Redemption Rock Trail, sold the winning scratch ticket on Tuesday. The winner, DAO Trust in Milton, represented by trustee Matthew Marcus, opted to get the winnings in a one-time payment of $9.75 million before taxes.

Marcus said that the winner plans to take a vacation and make some home improvements with all that money.

Now, the store will also receive $50,000 for selling the ticket.

This week's winning ticket was the first $15 million prize to be claimed from the "$15,000,000 Colossal Millions" game. The Massachusetts State Lottery said there are two grand prizes left in the instant game.
