Massive $15M Lottery Prize Won On Ticket Sold In MA

MILLIS, MA — A massive lottery prize was sold at a Massachusetts store this week.

A $15 million lottery ticket was purchased at Millis Mart on Thursday. The winning ticket came from the Massachusetts State Lottery's Diamond Deluxe scratch-off game.

It marks just the second time a Massachusetts lottery player has won a prize that large from the game.

To win, players must match any of their numbers to one of the winning numbers. The odds of winning the top $15 million prize are more than 1 in 5 million.

One $15 million prize remains unclaimed in the scratch-off game.

The Massachusetts State Lottery did not disclose the identity of the winner. Retailers that sell winning tickets typically receive a bonus from the Lottery.

Two other lottery prizes were sold in Millis this week. Tickets sold at Richdale Food Shop netted prizes of $1,000 and $1,350 for two lucky Bay Staters.
