From a summer ballpark deal to a North Shore favorite offering specials, hot dogs are the topic of cheap eats this week.
The Worcester Bravehearts will host Dollar Dog Night on Thursday, July 2, at Fitton Field, with $1 hot dogs, special promotions, America 250 merchandise and food-eating contests during the game against the Westfield Starfires.
First pitch is at 6:30 p.m.
The promotion gives fans a low-cost food option at the ballpark ahead of the July 4 weekend. Tickets are available through the team’s ticketing page.
There's another hot dog deal north of Boston.
Destinos Subs on Prospect Street in Gloucester is offering a Friday special with a hot dog and fries for $5.99. The restaurant said it is also offering a haddock sandwich dinner for $9.99 as part of its Friday specials.
Another spot in Worcester is debuting. a special.
George’s Coney Island at 158 Southbridge St. lists a "Worcester Special" for $10.95, with two hot dogs, a pickle, pie and soda. The restaurant also offers a nighttime meal deal for $25, with eight hot dogs, two chips, two pies and two pickles, according to its website.
Meanwhile, Costco’s $1.50 hot dog combo remains another budget option for members.
The company recently added bottled water as a drink option for the combo while keeping the price at $1.50, according to Axios.
