The Massachusetts Megabucks jackpot is up to a record-breaking $22.8 million, according to the Mass Lottery. The estimated cash option for the winning ticket is $15.2 million.
The next Megabucks drawing will be Wednesday at 9 p.m.
The Megabucks jackpot was last hit April 21, 2025, when a $1.97 million jackpot was won on a ticket sold in Hyde Park.
The previous record was set in 1985, when the jackpot hit $21.7 million. That prize was split among eight players.
Megabucks tickets are $2 each and can only be purchased in Massachusetts. Megabucks drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 9 p.m.
The winning numbers from Monday's drawing were 11-15-20-27-32-37.
"It's an exciting day when a forty-plus-year record is broken and knowing that any jackpot-winning Megabucks ticket will be sold right here in Massachusetts makes it even better," Mark William Bracken, executive director of the Mass Lottery, said in a statement.
Beyond Megabucks, several other large jackpot games are drawing attention nationally. The top Powerball prize is at $434 million. The Mega Millions jackpot has hit $576 million.
