Where And When To See Peak Fall Foliage In Massachusetts
Online foliage trackers can estimate when the annual wardrobe change by deciduous trees changes from greens to brilliant crimsons, golds and oranges in Massachusetts and other places where leaf peeping is a major tourism draw. These tools adjust those predictions as the weather changes. The most sophisticated maps combine historical peak dates with latitude, elevation, temperature, precipitation, drought conditions, and reports from people, webcams, and satellites. Peak color can vary within the same county, especially where elevations differ, and a badly timed frost, windstorm, or downpour can strip trees almost overnight.
