While spooky season is still a month away, some of the nation's most popular Halloween stores are already open.
Spirit Halloween, known as the world's largest specialty Halloween retailer, is opening in 33 communities across Massachusetts. The Spirit brand operates more than 1,500 stores nationwide.

This year, Spirit Halloween will open 34 locations in Massachusetts, most of which pop up annually in empty retail stores.
