Levain Bakery has launched a limited-edition Coffee Toffee Cookie, which made its debut on Jan. 7. The new flavor is available online and in bakeries.
"This unique treat blends dark cocoa and espresso powders for a rich, balanced flavor, with espresso cutting the sweetness and cocoa providing a deep chocolate base, minus the chocolate chips," Levain officials said. "Topped with caramelized chocolate-covered toffee chunks, it offers rich espresso and vanilla notes, sweet but not too much, with a hint of savory depth."
Levain has Massachusetts locations in Boston's Back Bay and Seaport neighborhoods.
