Clark Demands Republicans’ Bring Vote on the National Security Bill

Whip Clark Statement Demanding House Republicans' Bring Vote on the Bipartisan National Security Supplemental

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Democratic Whip Katherine Clark (MA-5) released the following statement demanding the House Republican Majority place the bipartisan national security supplemental on the Floor for an up-or-down vote:

“House Republicans have spent months ignoring the national security supplemental that passed the Senate with overwhelming bipartisan support. Make no mistake: Russia and Iran are partners in the violence and terrorism gripping the world. There is only one way to effectively support our allies, protect U.S. troops, and save innocent lives: put this supplemental up for an immediate vote.

“We are out of time. Continued Republican inaction will send a clear message to the world that the United States can no longer be counted on — that the House GOP is willing to sacrifice anything to appease Donald Trump and hold onto their personal power and titles.”
