Earthquake Shakes Up Massachusetts Town

A magnitude 1.7 earthquake hit a town Tuesday night.

ATHOL, MA — A magnitude 1.7 earthquake reportedly shook Athol Tuesday night. The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed the earthquake had occurred. It was reported to have happened around 8:15 p.m. and had a depth of 5 km.

No damage or injuries have been reported.
