Epoch Senior Living Offers TEMBO Telehealth Services to Residents

The new partnership will offer residents 24/7 access to healthcare professionals, preventing and addressing many health issues for seniors

(Vicky Hochman)

WALTHAM, MA – EPOCH Senior Living organization, a premier provider of exceptional senior living services throughout the Northeast, has announced a new partnership between their Bridges® by EPOCH (memory care assisted living communities) and Waterstone Senior Living (independent and assisted living communities) and Tembo Health, a telehealth service that focuses on seniors and offers access to medical professionals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Through this new partnership, residents at Bridges® by EPOCH and Waterstone communities will be able to get a virtual appointment with a board-certified, emergency-trained doctor within minutes – without needing to leave the comfort of their community. Tembo Health offers unlimited, on-demand virtual dementia care through phone calls, text messages, or video. Seniors can use the service for concerns such as a late-night fall, a persistent cough, or a health-related dementia complication.

The partnership is expected to reduce emergency room visits and help residents and their caregivers quickly identify and address a wide range of health-related issues. By using Tembo Health, families, care team members, and primary care doctors will all be able to work together to coordinate seamless care for residents in the communities.

Anurag Gupta, MD, the CEO and founder of Tembo Health, cites his grandfather as an inspiration for starting the company. “When he was in the nursing home, he had limited access to physicians. When he was at home, getting a handle on his chronic conditions was a full-time job filled with one hurdle after another. I realized how lucky we were – my father and I are both physicians and my sister was in med school. We knew what to do. But what about others? And that's how I decided to make it my mission to reimagine healthcare for seniors and make getting the right care effortless,” he said.
