Flash Floods, Severe Storms Could Be Headed To MA Later Saturday
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for areas west of Route 128 and a severe thunderstorm warning for Western Mass.
MASSACHUSETTS — More heavy rain and possibly severe storms could be headed to waterlogged parts of New England later on Saturday.
The National Weather Service added a severe thunderstorm watch for Western Massachusetts to its flash flood watch for areas of the state west of Route 128, as well as Rhode Island and Southwest New Hampshire.

Up to 1 to 2 more inches of rain is expected in central and western parts of Massachusetts Saturday into Sunday — which would keep the state on pace for its rainiest July on record.

The weather is supposed to improve a bit in time for the workweek with a mixed-bag Monday followed by a 30 percent chance of scattered showers most of the rest of the week.
