Large Fire Destroys Central MA Home
The fire displaced two adults, several children and family pets, according to officials.

WEST BROOKFIELD, MA — A four-alarm fire burned at a home in Central Massachusetts on Monday.
The West Brookfield Fire Department, along with other agencies, responded to a large house fire at 50 Ragged Hill Rd. in West Brookfield at around 12 p.m.
All occupants were safely evacuated before crews arrived, and one resident was taken to the hospital with injuries sustained prior to their arrival.

The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents, but the home has been deemed uninhabitable and is considered a total loss.

Heavy smoke seemed to be coming from the home, according to photos shared by Spencer Fire and Emergency Services.
West Brookfield received mutual aid from Spencer and Sturbridge Fire Departments.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the State Police Fire Marshal's Office, but is believed to be accidental.
