MA Spring Heat Wave? Long Range Forecast Sees Above-Normal Temps

More warm weather appears to be on the way for the entire East Coast.

MASSACHUSETTS — If you enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather late in the week, then you may be in luck.

The region is very likely to see more warm temperatures, according to a long-term forecast from the National Weather Service. There's an 80 to 90 percent chance that much of the Northeast and Great Lakes regions will experience above-average temperatures from April 13 to 19.

The warmth is unlikely to be accompanied by rain. The entire East Coast is forecast as likely to have less precipitation than normal from April 13 to 19.

The Accuweather forecast predicts highs mostly in the 60s with sunny skies for Boston for those dates. The temperature is expected to hit 70 degrees April 13.

Worcester is also expected to see temperatures in the upper 60s with minimal chance of precipitation, according to the Accuweather forecast. The high for both April 13 and 14 is predicted to be a balmy 70 degrees.

Out on Cape Cod, temperatures could be a couple of degrees more. April 13 is forecast to be 73 degrees, and April 14 will be 72.
