Here's Where Massachusetts Ranks Among Best States To Live In

The Northeast is represented well in new rankings of the best states to live in. Find out how Massachusetts stacks up.

MASSACHUSETTS — The Bay State isn't doing too shabby: Massachusetts ranked sixth among "Best States to Live In."

The list comes from HubScore, a marketing firm. In the top spot was New Hampshire. On the other end of the spectrum, New Mexico ranked dead last.

The study examined states in terms of economic opportunities, healthcare, quality of education, safety, and more. Hubscore used a "Livability Index" to give each state a numerical score out of 100, allowing for direct comparisons between states. States were compared based on 61 metrics, each with a score of 0 to 100.

Massachusetts is in the one slot for both health and education. However, it was in the bottom half of states for both opportunity and infrastructure.
