Nancy Kerrigan To Talk About Her Miscarriages In Newton

The former Olympic figure skating star has said she had six miscarriages over an eight-year period.

NEWTON, MA — Former Olympic figure skating star Nancy Kerrigan is slated to deliver the keynote address Saturday morning at a New England infertility conference in Newton, Massachusetts, and share her heartbreaking experience with multiple miscarriages. Last spring, Kerrigan revealed during an episode of "Dancing with the Stars" that she experienced six miscarriages over an eight-year period.

Kerrigan, a Massachusetts native, called the miscarriages "devastating" in a subsequent interview on ABC's "Good Morning America," and said they were hard on her marriage to husband Jerry Solomon.

The miscarriages happened following the birth of her first child, Matthew, in 1996, she said. She turned to in vitro fertilization for the births of her son Brian and daughter Nicole.
