Police Officer Shot In MA, Suspect Remains In Home
BREAKING: A police officer was shot inside a western Massachusetts home, where the suspect is believed to remain.

WILBRAHAM, MA — A police officer was shot Saturday night in a western Massachusetts home, where the suspect remains, according to state police.
Massachusetts State Police were called to help local authorities around 8:40 p.m. when a suspect and police exchanged gunfire at a home on Old Carriage Drive in Wilbraham, which is outside Springfield. A Wilbraham police officer was struck by gunfire and was taken to the hospital. The officer's condition was not immediately known.
The suspect is believed to be inside the home, state police say. Authorities set up a perimeter around the home and a roadblock on Old Carriage Drive as a state police bomb squad crisis negotiations team, special tactical operations team, a drone unit, K9 unit and more responded to the scene.
