Remains Of Missing Tech CEO, A MA Native, Found In CA

Human remains found on April 25 in the courtyard of an abandoned property have been identified as those of Sober Grid founder Beau Mann.

SANTA MONICA, CA — The remains of a 39-year-old tech CEO and Massachusetts native who was last seen in Santa Monica in November 2021 were finally found in Santa Monica last month, the Santa Monica Police Department said in a news release Monday.

Police said human remains were found on April 25 in the courtyard of an abandoned property in the 2900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard before they were identified as those of Beau Mann on Saturday.

Mann was last seen on security footage leaving a 7-Eleven on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City around 2 p.m. on November 30, 2021, and was reported missing to the Los Angeles Police Department on December 4, 2021, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

ABC7 reported that according to investigators, around the time of his disappearance, Mann sent a text to 911 saying he was in an Uber and needed help.

Mann was the founder and CEO of Sober Grid Inc., an online sober community that offers telehealth HIPAA compliant 24/7 certified peer coaching support through their platform.

"Beau built an amazing company and led a phenomenal team of talented individuals," the company said in a public note shared at the time of Beau's disappearance. "The Sober Grid team continues to work diligently to protect his legacy and continue our Mission."

Mann is a Massachusetts native and had spent Thanksgiving 2021 with his siblings in Texas before returning back to Los Angeles where he lives and works, his mother told Telegram.com.
