MA Teen Cyclist Dead A Week After Being Hit By Car

WAREHAM, MA — A Wareham teen boy who was struck by an SUV while riding his bike a week ago has died, the Plymouth County District Attorney said in a Tuesday news release.

The boy, identified as 14-year-old Tobey Alford, was hit at the intersection of Sandwich and Narrows road around 8:15 p.m. April 18, officials said. Suffering from a serious head injury, Alford was taken to a hospital before being taken by helicopter to another, where he died Monday, accusing to officials.

Officials said the Chevrolet Blazer that struck Alford was driven by a female, who cooperated with police at the scene and is not being identified.
