Whip Clark Slams GOP for Undermining National Defense With Extremism

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Democratic Whip Katherine Clark (MA-5) released the following statement:

“Once again, the House Republican Majority has prioritized MAGA extremism over our national security and our military families. They have undermined a bipartisan national defense bill and warped it into another vehicle for their anti-abortion, anti-freedom, anti-equality agenda.

“While the GOP is mired in its own extremism, House Democrats are focused on what everyone outside the MAGA hive mind cares about: lowering the cost of living, supporting our troops, and defending the personal freedoms of every American.

“That’s the difference between the two sides of the aisle: we believe that people, patriots, and the preservation of democracy come before partisan fealty.”
