Week in Review: High School Quiz, Bruce Freeman Update, a Small Fire and OUI's
In case you missed it. Here is a round up of the news highlighted on Acton Patch this week (Feb. 27 to March 4).

1). Sunday, Feb. 26, the WGBH High School Quiz Show matchup between Acton-Boxborough and Beverly High School aired. and moved on to the second round and will face the winner of Rockport and Somerville High, which will air Sunday, March 4, at 6:30 p.m. on WGBH 2.
2). Two OUI's and a forged motor vehicle registration.
3). Concord Town Manager Chris Whelan related that Town of Acton Planning Director Roland Bartl recently negotiated a Right of Entry Agreement with MassDOT’s Rail Division. in the plan to connect the existing trail. Whelan asked Concord officials to sign off on their portion of the deal.

4). Missing Acton patient turns up at parents old home.
5). broke out at , 840 Main St. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 around 9:40 p.m. Craig Forester, Operations Manager for Rex Lumber was on-scene and said a duct connected to a large sawdust silo overheated and caused serious friction. No significant damage was done to the silo or any part of the building and there were no reported injuries.

6). met with the owners of Monday night to discuss an incident that happened on June 13, 2011. Just a few months after Tailgaters Grille officially opened in April of 2011, a who was charged with leaving the scene of property damage, speeding and OUI (second offense); he told the arresting officer that he had three beers at Tailgaters Grille before the crash. According to the police report, his blood-alcohol level was 0.18%, significantly higher than the legal limit of 0.08%. See full police report.
7). Eighth grader Tyler Marchegiani says he knows what it’s like to pay dues. After auditioning for some plays and musicals, he has been offered supporting roles and seen older, more experienced actors be assigned the leads.
This is not the case for Marchegiani this year, however. On Friday night, he’ll take the stage in and bring Nathan Detroit to life.
8). I consider myself level-headed but passionate, a lover of the diverse foods and traditions and landscapes and people on this great earth. I'm a gypsy at heart, and I am so glad we're all not the same! Can you imagine? With this in mind, I tried to write a level-headed response about the use of Under God in the pledge. But since I am furious about this topic and can't seem to put two nice words together, I decided to tell my story instead

11). The issue of parking along the wasn't settled at the Stony Brook School on Wednesday night, but there was plenty of information and passionate discussion in what may be a foreshadowing of Town Meeting in Westford.
12). In Acton Patch's inaugural "Best of" contest, when the poll closed at 9 a.m. and those votes helped decide the best breakfast in town. The winner? with 67 votes.
13). Acton open houses for March 4.
14). On Saturday, March 3, 2012, will compete in the preliminary round of the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild's High School Festival.
