• Grandmother Dies After Acton Pond Tragedy Kills 1-Year-Old Grandson (dailyvoice.com) — Acton officials have confirmed that the grandmother involved in last week's NARA Pond incident has died, three days after her nearly 2-year-old grandson was pulled from the water and later pronounced dead. Investigators say the family was not at the park to swim and were outside the designated swim area when the child ended up in the pond and the grandmother went in after him. Lifeguards and first responders attempted rescues, and authorities say no foul play is suspected.
   

• Acton grandmother dies days after water rescue that also saw child die (boston.com) — A 75-year-old grandmother has died after a water rescue at Nara Park in Acton, the same incident that claimed the life of her nearly 2-year-old grandchild. Acton police, lifeguards, camp counselors, and bystanders responded Friday afternoon after reports of a possible drowning, pulling both from the water and attempting life-saving measures. Officials have not released the family's identities.
