• Massachusetts grandmother dies after trying to rescue grandchild from drowning (fallriverreporter.com) — A tragic drowning at Acton's Nara Park on Friday claimed the lives of a 75-year-old Acton grandmother and her nearly 2-year-old grandchild after she tried to rescue him from the water. Lifeguards, camp counselors, bystanders, and multiple local departments responded quickly, but both later died at the hospital. Authorities say no foul play is suspected and identities are withheld.
