ACTON, MA — Imagine writing a letter to someone who won't read it until 1775 is 300 years in the past.
That is the idea behind Acton's time capsule, which is scheduled for dedication Today, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Town Hall. It's part of the town's 250th-anniversary commemorations.
The capsule is intended to be sealed and opened on or near the 300th anniversary of April 19, 1775, connecting today's residents with people who will live in Acton decades from now.
