Announcement: Acton Water District Seasonal Outdoor Water Use Restrictions in Effect

This is a timely press release from the Acton Water District.

The Acton Water District would like to remind our customers that from May 1 to October 1 outdoor water use restrictions are in effect.  This program is in effect every year and we hope that many of our customers are used to the details.

These restrictions allow customers with even numbered addresses to use water outdoors on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.  Odd numbered addresses may use water outdoors on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.  No lawn watering is allowed between the hours of 7AM and 7PM, and no outdoor water use of any kind is allowed on Mondays to allow our storage tanks to refill.

We believe this system is a fair and equitable way to ensure adequate water is available for public health and safety while recognizing our customer’s desire to use water outdoors.
