The Acton Area League of Women Voters and the Town’s Volunteer Coordinating Committee is holding a Town Board Volunteer Job Fair to help boards attract new members and let citizens better understand the boards’ roles in local government. Members from town boards and committees will be on hand to explain the work they do and the time commitment for the members.
Do you know people in the community that might be good board members? If so, give them a nudge to attend this meeting. There is sure to be a town board that matches their interests and skills. Non-citizens may also serve on Acton’s town committees. Applications will be available at the meeting.
