June 24 for high school kids (9am-12pm)co- sponsored by the River Stewardship Council; part of the National Park Service, National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. This is fun, messy work out on the pond. Get community service hours and enjoy free pizza, prizes and friendly competition while hand pulling water chestnut from several locations in our watershed. Great hands-on opportunity for students interested in the environment. We have limited canoes so please let us kow if you will bring your own boats. LIfe vests required. We recommend bringing water, bug spray, sun block, work gloves, water shoes--be prepared to get messy!

Please register by June 18!
