Senator Scott Brown in Town
Sunday, March 6, Sen. Scott Brown was at Willow Books & Cafe to meet and greet supporters and sign copies of his book.
First-term Republican senator, Scott Brown, was in Acton earlier today (Sunday, March 6) to promote his new autobiography, “Against All Odds: My Life of Hardship, Fast Breaks and Second Chances,” at Willow Books & Café.
From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., supporters of Brown waited in a line that snaked its way around the store, for their chance to briefly meet and greet with the senator and have their book signed.
The signing went smooth, as Sen. Brown was out of there by 2 p.m. and on his way to Barns & Nobel in Walpole for a 3 p.m. book signing.

Three members from the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School group, the Young Republicans, were three of the many people in attendance who were excited to meet Sen. Brown.
“He is real down to earth and he genuinely seems like he cares for his voters,” said senior president of the AB Young Republicans, Oliver Tejeda. “He goes out of his way to talk to voters and get involved and it was great to see him do that today in Acton. I’ve actually met him previously in Littleton when I was helping him out on his campaign.

Junior, Brendan Spangler, of the AB Young Republicans, was also excited to see Sen. Brown in Acton.
“I always kind of saw him as a Washington outsider, because he just came in from left field – kind of new to the scene,” said Spangler. “It was refreshing to see that happen. It was a great to see him take over Kennedy's seat.”
Sen. Brown did not have time to give a speech before or after the book signing, but he did make sure he took time to take photographs with everyone who waited in line.
“It is good to be back in the area,” said Sen. Brown. “There were a lot of good people here and a lot of familiar faces that have helped out with my campaign.”
