Dolan was tasked with the duty to coat the with a rust preserving stain that will make sure the original rust from the steel stays intact so that overtime the steel does not drip onto the granite of the memorial.

- At 9:07 p.m. Friday night, two people were transferred to the hospital after someone ran a red light and caused a three-car accident at the intersection of Route 2A and Route 27. Although the Acton Police department did not provide information of who caused the accident, they did release the names of the people involved.
4). West Nile Virus Discovered in Acton, Spraying Starts Aug. 4
- On July 28, the Central Mass. Mosquito Control Project (CMMCP) discovered the West Nile Virus while surveying an area in town southeast of town center. The CMMCP will be combating the issue by placing Catch basins in the area where the virus was found to reduce the larva population.
