1 Dead, 5 Injured In Shooting At House Party In Lawrence: Reports

LAWRENCE, MA — One person was killed and another five were injured in a shooting at a party in Lawrence early Sunday morning, The Associated Press reported. Police responded to a call reporting a disturbance at a Royal Street home at about 3 a.m.

The six victims were transported to Lawrence General Hospital. One of them was pronounced dead. Two others were transported by medical helicopter to Boston for further treatment.

Desiderio Aria, 18, of Lawrence, was fatally shot in the incident, NBC-10 Boston reported

No arrests have been made. Police believe the crime was not a random act of violence.

One neighbor told NBC-10 Boston that around 10 gunshots were fired.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
