2 Arrested In Connection With Lawrence House Party Shooting: Report

Two people were arrested on weapons charges after a shooting at a house party left one dead and five injured.

LAWRENCE, MA — Two people are facing weapons charges following a shooting at a house party in Lawrence early Sunday morning that left one dead and five injured. Saul Enrique Morales Espinosa, 22, and Joshual Ramirez, 20, were arrested on felony counts of carrying a firearm without a license and carrying a loaded firearm, according to NBC-10 Boston.

Both were held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for May 9. Both were also hospitalized with gunshot wounds. They were arraigned remotely Monday and pleaded not guilty to the charges, NBC-10 Boston reported.

Police responded to a call at about 3 a.m. reporting a disturbance at a Royal Street home, The Associated Press reported. Six victims were transported to Lawrence General Hospital. One of them was pronounced dead.

Two others were transported by medical helicopter to Boston for further treatment.

Desiderio Aria, 18, of Lawrence, was fatally shot in the incident, NBC-10 Boston reported.
