Intro to Quilting (NEW!)

Take a break from admiring quilts you’ve seen in the store, and learn to make your own! In this introductory class, students will learn basic cutting, piecing, quilting, and binding techniques while making several traditional quilt blocks to be combined into a small lap quilt.Bringing your own sewing machine is recommended but loaner machines are available with advance notice. Materials list will be emailed prior to the first class.

Sewing Machine Basics

Join sewing teacher Carrie Midura, of Carrie + Fitz Sewing, for a 4-week sewing class, designed just for busy individuals wanting to be creative and save time and money with DIY sewing repairs andprojects. Get to know the basics of using a machine while brushing up on your sewing skills. Beginner oriented projects will focus on student’s interest and may include hemming, buttons, zippers, and more as time allows. Bringing your own sewing machine is recommended but loaner machines are available with advance notice. Sample project materials will be provided.
