Andover Reopens Town Offices Second Floor After Months of Renovations

ANDOVER, MA — Andover residents can once again use the second floor of the Town Offices at 36 Bartlet Street after months of renovations, with the town announcing the space is officially open.

According to the town, the project focused on updating interior spaces, improving accessibility and increasing energy efficiency in the building. The work included ADA-compliant entrances and public service counters, refreshed office spaces, LED lighting and a new Welcome Center.

The renovation follows a temporary closure of the second floor that the town previously said was part of a long-planned project to improve the accessibility and functionality of public spaces within the building.

At the time of the closure, the project was expected to last about 10 months.

During construction, several departments were temporarily relocated to Old Town Hall at 20 Main Street so services could continue. The Treasurer's Office, Town Clerk's Office and Assessor's Office operated there at full capacity. The town also said its Legal Department and Human Resources/People Department had moved to Old Town Hall during an earlier phase of the renovation project and remained on the building's first floor.
