Andover resident welcomes Waddell & Reed to TradeCenter 128

WOBURN, MA, October 13, 2011— Cummings Properties recently welcomed Waddell & Reed Financial Advisors to its flagship TradeCenter 128 in Woburn. A client since 1991, Waddell & Reed went through a long period of expansion at the commercial real estate firm’s well-known West Cummings Park campus, before moving to the landmark Route 128 location.

Lelani Loder, an Andover resident and Cummings Properties leasing/property manager, said, “We take pride in accommodating the changing needs of an evolving company, and we have the in-house expertise to design and build out custom offices quickly.”

According to Waddell & Reed representative Pat Briand, as the financial company’s business expanded over the years, Cummings Properties was resourceful in accommodating its growth by making additional office space available within the building.

While the gradual acquisition of adjacent space met Waddell & Reed’s needs for 20 years, it ultimately decided to relocate within the Cummings portfolio to a new 6,000-square-foot office suite at TradeCenter 128. In order to help Waddell & Reed meet its corporate requirements, Cummings Properties customized the office space, using specified paint colors and wall and floor coverings.

“We are growing very fast. We needed a new space and, once again, Cummings Properties responded to our needs,” Briand said.

Loder noted, “Because Cummings Properties has such a diverse portfolio of office space, our clients have many options from which to choose. Waddell and Reed got exactly the layout it wanted in a very high profile location on Route 128.”

Like West Cummings Park, the TradeCenter 128 campus offers a wide range of amenities. Waddell & Reed employees and clients will continue to enjoy free parking, cafes, dry-cleaning, a full-service bank, medical services, public transportation, and day care, as well as fine dining at Beacon Grille, one of the region’s destination restaurants.

“Cummings Properties was really great—it did everything we asked for,” Briand said. “The suite is beautiful.”
