Andover Coronavirus Latest: Town Meeting Postponed
The town meeting delay follows a town election delay approved by the Select Board Monday.
ANDOVER, MA — The Annual Town Meeting has been postponed in response to the new coronavirus, Andover reported Wednesday. The meeting was initially scheduled for April 27. A new date will be announced in coming weeks, the town said.
The meeting delay follows an town election delay, approved by the Select Board earlier this week.
A state law enacted this week allows for absentee voting based on precautions related to the new virus, meaning residents will be able to vote early in the town election if they're concerned about the health risks of voting on election day.
