Andover Garden Club and Memorial Hall Library Present Popular Meteorologist and Horticulturist David Epstein

His Topic on April 7 will be "Beyond the Frost Line: What Happens When the Zones Move North? Strategies for a Warming Landscape."

At the Andover Garden Club’s April 7 meeting, which will be held in conjunction with Memorial Hall library, meteorologist, horticulturist, and educator David Epstein will present “Beyond the Frost Line: What Happens When the Zones Move North? Strategies for a Warming Landscape.”

About the Speaker

David Epstein has been a meteorologist and horticulturalist for more than 35 years. He writes for the Boston Globe and is the meteorologist for the local NPR station ’GBH Boston. He has served as on-air meteorologist for various stations throughout New England, including WBZ CH 4 and WCVB CH 5.

In 2006, Epstein founded Growing Wisdom (www.growingwisdom.org), a business that produces educational and marketing videos, available via a variety of social-media sites. He owns the landscape-design business, Bloomscapes Inc.

Epstein graduated from Colby College and studied meteorology at Lyndon State College. He earned a Master’s in Education and an MBA from Boston College. He currently serves on the board of the Natick Community Organic Farm. His first job was teaching 8th-grade science, and he’s been an educator ever since, including his 17 years teaching meteorology at Colby College.

When, Where, and How

The event will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Memorial Hall Library, 2 North Main Street, Andover MA 01810. It will begin at 10:00 AM with socializing time and a brief business meeting, followed by the presentation at approximately 11:00 AM. The public is encouraged to take advantage of this program, which is free of charge.
