Andover Holiday Events Continue With Shop Local Weekend
Other events happen over the coming weeks.
ANDOVER, MA — Holiday events continue in Andover with shop local day this Saturday. Already, the town has seen, Small Business Saturday and the Santa Parade. There are other town events every weekend until Christmas, listed here:
Saturday, Dec. 7 is shop local day. According to the town announcement: "Gather your receipts from purchases made from downtown and Shawsheen Village businesses on December 7th and head to Old Town Hall at 20 Main Street from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. to enter our gift card giveaway. For every $100 in purchases you are eligible to receive a $25 Visa® gift card*, and you are entered into the grand drawing to win one of three (3) $1,000 Visa® gift cards."
On Thursday, Dec. 12, the recreation department is hosting the Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt, from 6 to 7 p.m. It's at the Park at Chestnut and Bartlet, and costs $5 per child.

The following day is Holiday Happenings, from 4 to 8 p.m. Free activities and rides will be on Main Street downtown, at the Old Town Hall, 20 Main St., at the Park at Chestnut and Bartlet, and at the Town Offices, 36 Bartlet St.
For Parent's Night Out, Friday Dec. 20, Andover Recreation will entertain kids age 7 to 12 from 6 to 9 p.m., for $5 each. Registration is limited, according to the event page.
