Andover Man Pleads Guilty To Fentanyl-Dealing Charges: Feds

An Andover man pleaded guilty to federal charges that he was part of an operation dealing fentanyl throughout New England.

ANDOVER, MA — An Andover man pleaded guilty Wednesday to fentanyl trafficking in an operation that spanned across New England, according to a statement from federal prosecutors. Randell Starlin Medina Rodriguez, 27, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and p-Fluorofentanyl, a fentanyl analogue.

Medina Rodriguez and five others were arrested and charged in February 2022. All six were indicted by a federal grand jury in March 2022.

Medina Rodriguez conspired with others in mid-2021 to deliver hundreds of grams of fentanyl throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, according to prosecutors. Medina Rodriguez and others served as Massachusetts-based dealers who delivered large quantities of fentanyl to wholesale customers who would distribute the drugs in Maine and New Hampshire.

He is scheduled for sentencing Oct. 5 when he faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
