Andover Man Sentenced In Fatal Drug Overdose Case
A man pleaded guilty to charges and was sentenced in connection to a fatal fentanyl overdose case from 2019.
ANDOVER, MA — An Andover man connected to a fatal fentanyl overdose was sentenced in Essex Superior Court on Wednesday. Joseph Comeau, 28, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and intimidation of a witness, according to a statement from the Essex County District Attorney's Office.
He was sentenced to five years and five days in state prison.
The Commonwealth recommended a sentence of eight to ten years while the defense argued for four years.

Comeau reportedly bragged about the strength of the drugs he was dealing. Max Durham was found dead in his Andover home from a fentanyl overdose in December 2019, according to prosecutors.
