Andover Police Department Accepts Donation of "Trouble the Dog"
Donation from Columbia Gas and The Kennek Foundation to help children affected by the explosions in the Merrimack Valley.

On November 07, 2018, the Andover Police Department accepted donations of "Trouble the Dog”plush toys from Columbia Gas of Massachusetts and The Kennek Foundation of Marblehead. Columbia Gas facilitated the donation, working with Sheila Duncan, Founder of The Kennek Foundation, as a way to support the local community. The Kennek Foundation provides comfort to children in crisis with the help of the character, Trouble the Dog and the affiliated plush dogs and children's books. Trouble the Dog will be utilized by first responders in Andover to give to children who have been affected by the explosions in the Merrimack Valley.
During the donation, Police Lieutenant Edward Guy noted, "It is without question that donations like these, to the Andover Police and Fire Departments, help us to better serve the children in our community that have been affected by a tragedy or a significant incident. We appreciate these types of donations because they are a tool that we can use to help children and comfort them in their time of need."
